Testimonies

Here are some testimonies of churches who have begun a journey to discover the wonder and power of corporate prayer and have been served by the Concert of Prayer in some way.

  • “When we spoke to Lloyd about the Concert of Prayer, we identified that we shared a similar passion to see corporate prayer as the driving force in Kingdom advance, but we were also aware that the prayer meeting is often the least well attended meeting in most local churches. We have always sought how we might ignite prayer in the normal course of prayer life, so when Lloyd described what the Concert of Prayer did in churches, we immediately decided to have him along to lead our Sunday service, where he walked our congregation through an engaging time of corporate prayer. This began the time with a couple of songs of worship to focus on giving praise to the Lord for who he is and what he has done, sometimes praying individually, sometimes all at the same time. There was no expectation or pressure on anyone to contribute if they were not comfortable, but we did encourage everyone to wade into the water and enjoy the freedom that was there by just participating. One really effective aspect of the prayer time was taking a psalm and using it as a springboard to pray into. So, one at a time our people would read a part of a verse and then they prayed that truth back to the Lord as it applied to us. A couple of times, Lloyd brought some meaningful insights into a few passages and then we launched into prayer using those passages and how they applied to us. There was also space given to just wait on the Lord in silence to allow him to speak to us and then we had shared those things. Overall, there was just this keen sense that the Holy Spirit was gently leading us along to pray the things that were on the Father’s heart. Because it was such a positive experience in helping us to grow in prayer as a congregation, we plan to make it a regular part of our schedule of services, even on Sundays. We are looking for God to move us forward as we seek him and call on his name together.

  • “Like many others, Covid-19 affected our church meeting together and praying together. As we started emerging from the pandemic at the start of 2022, we had a real burden for gathering again in corporate prayer. Through a mutual connection we were introduced to Lloyd and the Concert of Prayer. We were greatly helped in formulating what our new monthly corporate prayer gathering would look like in our conversations with Lloyd and were challenged and blessed with a "demo" that he and his team hosted for us in June 2022. Praying the Scriptures is something we've found new joy in and has been really helpful. We are still very much on a learning journey with this and will look forward to continuing in our relationship with Lloyd and others in the Concert of Prayer as we seek to develop a prayer culture in our church.”

  • “We were delighted to have Lloyd host one of our monthly global prayer gatherings over Zoom for the Global Network of Evangelists, for evangelists based around the world. We had a powerful time of prayer, as we poured our hearts out to God, prayed around scripture, and waited on the Holy Spirit for words of encouragement for one another. Lloyd led us so well and sensitively - It was a precious time together. We’re looking forward to more in the future!”
